Napier's fountain @ night.
Its a little bit kitschy, cause the colours alternate. But still nice to watch. We visited a nice place famous for its art deco stile. Most of Napier has beed destroyed during a disastorous earthquake back in 1931 To reconstruct the place the city council sent out their architects to America and the World. They came with plenty of new art deco ideas and Al Capone. Alcohol Prohibition didn't just affect the states, so Al could spread his network to NZ. This story was told us in an atmospheric pub in Napier.
After a night on the camping ground we left for Wellington. On the way we passed through numerous landscapes.
We arrived in Wellington late in the evening so most of the places were already shut. So we might try so see some famous museum on the way back. But even from the outside we could grasp a good impression. We went up the hill with the help of the famous cable car.
Probably the most scifi-looking building was the Parliament. For me it looks like an electric motor for the guide book it's a beehive. On the other hand Old St.Pauls church was a rather historic and nice looking building. While we walked by we heard some tunes coming from the

I gave the flower to Anke as a present on her arrival in Auckland. I kept in mind, that a few days later it was going to be Valentines.. so instead of buying 2 bouquets, I thought its more clever to buy a pot which just lasts longer. :-) So far she's alive. inside and courious as we are, we took a look. Some famous Kiwi musican played folk/classic/gipsy like music on a violine accompanied by a piano and a guitar. The atmosphere in this wooden neo gothic church was wonderful.
After the city walk we tried to get to bed as soon as possible, because our ferry was going to leave the next morning really early... :-/
