Bergen.

We are now back in Wellington after enjoying our trip to catch up with the kids in Norway. Always such a special time.

We had a very relaxing time with Chris, Hege, Lilly and Stella. So very special to be part of their lives, 24/7. We enjoy the busy life of the two girls with their sport and social times. I enjoy listening to both Lilly and Stella playing the piano and singing. Both very talented, with Lilly in a band that practices every week and does the odd concert. I'm very proud of them both. Chris is enjoying his new job with the Hotel Norge and when he was on weekend duty we were able to stay in the hotel as well, so were a bit spoiled, enjoying being in the middle of the city and walking with the girls to the swimming complex for a couple of hours of swimming and slides. Lots of great food and just a relaxing time. During the 5 weeks we spent with them it is just so easy to settle in. I do a lot of walking, sometimes with Di, or sometimes with the kids. We were very lucky with the weather

and enjoyed wonderful sunny days for much of our time. Really enjoy pancake Friday evenings at Lillian and Rune's place and we also had an evening at Thomas and Annelina's, enjoy seeing the kids and hearing about what is happening in their world.

We left Bergen and flew to Copenhagen were we had decided to stay for two nights. We have passed through here a number of times on our way to Norway with out stopping, so we thought that we should spend a couple of days here to have a look around. Glad we did. We both thought it to be a wonderful city, although we did only scrape the edges. We walked for miles and took in a lot of the main CBD before finally making our way to the waterfront. The Tivoli Gardens Amusement Park looked interesting and they had huge displays up, celebrating Halloween. On the waterfront, sitting at a cafe enjoying the surroundings, the people, the food, the beer and the views was magic. Another place to add to the list of places we would like to spend a little more time at.

through to Singapore. As we were going to be there for quite a few hours we took a room at the Crown Plaza Hotel right at the airport so we could have a leisurely sleep until departure to Wellington. After relaxing in the room for a few hours we went to the Jewel Mall at the airport. You do have to go through immigration to get to the Hotel and to the Mall but it is well worth it This has only been open for about a year and has had good reviews. Wow!! It is certainly a magnificent mall with great shopping and other things to do. High above the atrium there is a large area of netting that you can walk on and people 5 floors below and the rest of the floors, can look up and say to themselves, No! I won't be doing that. There is also a huge water fall set in the middle of the mall which comes down into the centre of the gardens, all set in the mall. It is fantastic and if you have time to kill in Singapore Airport, very worth while killing time here. It will seem no time
