For 3 - 4 weeks New Zealand cricket employed me to help out with Milo Awareness Cricket. It involved going around schools in the Waikato Valley area teaching 5 - 11 year olds how to play cricket in a very fun way. It was the easiest work I have ever done. The kids were great and look to you as a superstar, and many sessions were finished off by signing their cricket posters. The idea of the Milo Awareness sessions was to introduce kids to cricket and promote the 10 weeks of Kiwi Cricket session (after school cricket). The range of schools was amazing. Some where well organised and disciplined, whilst others were very small, relaxed and friendly. The school in the photos was in the middle of no-where, on top of a mountain. It held about 60 kids, some that had never played cricket before. I've also added a few photos of places i visited around the country, the include Waihi beach and a look out point over Mercury Bay.
