This is a bit of a delayed and rather long entry due to the fact that I have been extremely busy and not had a chance to update the blog for a while. Yes, I can hear you all saying - "busy?? how can she be busy while she is away on holiday?" Well - you know - places to go, people to see...You would be amazed just how busy one can get when one is relaxing and having fun! LOL...However, people have been chasing me up about the fact that they have not heard from me in a while, so here is all my news. Sorry it's a bit long...! I have put so many photos on, you will have to click on to a second page to view them all!!! I left Dan and ... read more

Well, it has been quite a while since I've published a blog entry. I apologize in advance for the length of this one...it'll probably take you a few sittings to get through. Except for you procrastinating exam studiers...get back to work! I've been in New Zealand for over a week now and time has flown by. I had a great flight into Auckland, Emirates Airlines is wonderful, and it was a sunny day upon arrival so I had a nice view of the city as we were landing. As most of you know, Jer has also been travelling since the fall, only he started in New Zealand and spent 6 weeks touring the country. We were both going to be in Auckland at the same time and decided to meet up and tour the North part ... read more

... read more

יאללה ביי!!... read more

We don't know what lies ahead, we can only use the information that we have to make the best decisions we possibly can, but in the end it will be okay...everything, will be okay Christopher Walken in Wedding Crashers (or something along those lines) Okay, this entry is going to be a while..so, for those of you at work, grab a coffee and make sure that your boss isn't around......for Greener, well, you're your own boss, so make sure your "people" all have something to keep themselves occupied. I found a really cheap flight from the South Island up to Auckland....the distance was the equivalent of flying from Toronto to about Quebec City and I paid $40 for the ticket, so I was pumped about that. I met up with Heather that night, who had ... read more

SWEET AS ! Well I am chilling out in the north island in a town called Paihia. Nice little place, lots of travelers having fun. Took a bus trip up to Cape Reinga, 10 hour day, 7 hours driving. LONG DAY, but the sights were amazing. Sand doons were right on, same as back home, only home is snow instead of sand ! haha Staying in the Pipi Patch hostel, hot spot indeed, and not half bad lodging. Went snapper fishing with Spot X Fishing for $85, and was a blast ! Caught lots of snapper, ever time the hook went down there was action...unreal day ! Watch the sun off the water though, its tough ! Ozone down here is gone because of the way we live up there. SUn is very dangerous here. Twilite ... read more

I thought I would calm down the partying when I hit Aukland. I was so wrong. I met a few locals in a bar within an hour and they gave me a big tour round the bars and clubs which they had on offer. A couple of days in Aukland was enough for me and I jumped on the first bus out of there and headed North. Started in the Bay of Islands (Pahia) where I watched Wales getting smashed by the All blacks at 5.30am. A load of Llannelli boys turned up and we had a ball with the local Mauris. They fucking love their rugby out here to another passion level. It's awesome! I was pretty smashed by 2.30pm and then we took a boat trip in the afternoon around the 144 or so ... read more

Quick recap for those with acute short term memory: the original plan was to stay in Paihia for 4 weeks as that was the terms of the cleaning job at the backpackers...subsequently I decided to stay in Paihia till Christmas (10 weeks) as I had managed to hook up a waitressing job in a local bistro and the owner wanted someone who was willing to stay for the busy Christmas period... The first 2 weeks of waitressing were fine...I actually enjoyed the job and got on well with the owner/manager then things kind of started going down hill...I think he lost his passion for his business and so despite Char (the part time chef) and I continously giving him lists of things we had run out of he never quite got round to replenishing the stock...one ... read more
