Another early morning to catch the bus to Auckland. Our last coach journey together before we go our separate ways. We went through a place called Cambridge on the way, felt like home!
I spotted the motorway as soon as we drove into Auckland...that's the first one I've seen since being in NZ. There are loads of sky scrapers and it has much more of a city vibe to it than any other place we've been to. Apparently, people who don't live in Auckland hate the place and say it's not part of New Zealand. I guess because it's so built up and different to the rest of the north and south islands. I like it!
We had dinner in the Sky Tower revolving restaurant this evening, it was lovely. We treated ourselves as it was Lisa last night. The view form the observation platform is great, you can see for 80 kilometers in each direction.
We're staying at the fat camel hostel which is quite central but its very 18-30s! Its like a bedsit with four rooms sharing the same kitchen, bathroom etc. The kitchen has no mugs and about two plates so we can't even
have a cuppa.
Chris and I are staying two nights in Auckland but Lisa only has one as she flys back to Australia tomorrow. I'll really miss her as we've had the best time, I don't think I've ever laughed and joked so much!
Have fun in OZ Lisa, see you again soon! xxx
