Sitting in this gorgeous enclosed bay with noone else in sight and just the sound of the waves rippling on the pebbles and the feel of the sunburn on my neck. Bugger me it's hot. Some cheery soul was telling me yesterday that New Zealand is directly below a massive hole in the O-Zone layer meaning it has the largest number of cases of melanona skin cancer in the world. Joy. Met a girl last night in the lodge from Hemel, who also went to Birmingham Uni - weird coincidence! Had a quite night in, in front of The Green Mile while Mark mixed up some tunes for the local pot heads out on the decking. No snorers - hurrah! ... read more

Graeme has managed to get outside and enjoy some of the weather on site visits with work - wearing his regulation sun hat and sunscreen (provided by his work) of course. We even had our dinner on our balcony last night - it was a wee bit breezy and we nearly lost our take-away pizza on one occasion, but we managed… This morning we got up early with big plans for the day, and would you believe it - not a ... read more
