We started the day lounging on our balcony in Cairns....sunny, tropical breezes, swaying palm trees. Then we had to leave, and we flew back to Sydney. Since today is 11-11-11, there are weddings galore at the harbor, and we were practically tripping over brides having their pictures taken with the Opera House as a back drop.

As we strolled about wondering what to do about dinner, lo and behold Paul noticed it was 'Big Jugs Friday' at a local tavern. He hustled Janet in before she could make a peep of protest. It was very crowded, so Paul went and grabbed a table while Janet ordered at the bar....she then hoisted her two big jugs over to join Paul. Turns out that 'jugs' are what the Aussies call 'pitchers'. We both wrapped our hands around a big jug and heaved it skyward in salute to a great vacation!

We ended the evening strolling around the Circular Quay and watching a big orange moonrise over the Opera House.
