ATTITUDE ... How one responds ... today was one of those days. Overcast, no sun. Very cold. They were not a problem. It is the rear door of the Prado. Will NOT open. Therefore, I cannot get to the drawers for the air compresser, tyre pressure gauge, electrical charging cords for the lithium battery (can do by solar) and other incidentals. The Engel cannot be rolled out so as to open fully. Be thankful it can open partially whilst inside. Been no cursing or woe-is-us. It is as it is. Tried everything in my creative powers to solve. (Yes Sam, Dad checked the fuses) Hopefully there's a Toyota dealership in Mt Isa 9th July and we stay problem free.
Refueled this morning @ 2.70/L. The reason for Marree being packed to the brim yesterday evening was that the only servo had run out of all types of fuel. This morning the line was a mile long, all towing caravans and heading to Birdsville. Birdsville fuel is $2.84/L. Drinking water here in Marree is $5/L. Only one small filling station. We conserve and reuse. We are loving the experience.
Our friends, Kerry and Dave Date arrived
from Arkaroola today. Good to see them. Pub meal tonight. Jane prepared 2 meals this morning while I was jigging around with the car. Food wise there isn't a problem.
Late news … rear door unjammed through advice from Sam. Squirt hot water onto mechanism to remove dust build up. Worked a treat. Removed all essentials from drawers in case it happens again. Made pub time with Kerry and Dave upbeat.
