We were all looking forward to heading back to the bush and were so lucky to find the perfect camping ground at Cape Arid National Park. Cleared private camp sites and newly built camp kitchen and toilets, and the best part, we had it all to ourselves. The beach, just a short walk away is beautiful, sand as white as snow and water that is crystal clear.
Highlights were:
• Fishing at Tagon Beach and the excitement as Matt pulled in three huge salmon – freezer is now full!
• Donning our wetsuits each morning and heading down to surf, swim and build drip castles in the drizzling rain. There is something exhilarating about swimming in the ocean in the rain!
• The girls each having a turn at steering the car as we drive along the beach. Lots of giggles and eratic left to right turns.
• Exploring the granite rock pools and the plethora of multi coloured crabs hiding in every crevice
This spot gets a Collopy 5 star rating. Well maybe 4 star as no surf for Matt!!
