We stayed at Coral Bay for a few days. Each day we got to see the fish feeding. They were Snapper, about half a metre long. They are protected because they are in a National Marine Park. Down at the beach I got to snorkel and saw lots of coral and fish. We met a family from Perth who were holidaying there too. They invited us to catch up with them in Perth.

On the way into Carnarvon we crossed the Gascoyne River. It is used to water the fruit and vegetable crops in the area. It is sandy and has no water. They get the water from bores that pump the water from the natural water table under the ground.

We went to One Mile Jetty in Carnarvon and we caught the train out. It was a shame that we couldn’t get all the way to the end, because some idiots started a fire on the jetty at low tide so they couldn’t put the fire out. We saw some dolphins and a turtle while we were out there.
