April 21-27 = Exmouth Trip!!! Day 1 The bus was late; I could’ve slept in another half an hour, and taken my time to get downtown, and the bus would’ve only just arrived. It was hanging out (and mating) with another one atop our Coral Bay hostel. Suzy got the wrong idea when I pointed and said "Cool" and she turned at the wrong moment...

There used to be something cool in that spot, like a turtle or a dugong or an eagle ray... but of course when the camera comes out, wildlife runs for the hills (or the open ocean, whichever is closer and more appropriate).

These were the waves breaking on the outer edge of the reef. All the surfers were looking longingly at them...

In flight you can see the wedge-shaped tail much easier. These are the biggest eagles in WA, and possibly all of Australia, but don't quote me on that.

There were a mix of kangaroos and wallabies.

I think someone told me wallabies have a shorter, narrower face. And of course they're generally smaller, but sometimes that's not a good indicator.
