Comfortable
The Engle is close by once again Geo: -35.3426, 143.564
All set up with a cup of tea at 11am in Swan Hill for the night, once again right on the Murray River.
Drove through Vineyards, Olive Groves and Almond Orchards to get to Swan Hill, beautiful areas and a good trip, looking forward to having a look around Swan Hill, seeing this was the main shopping centre for us 38 years ago.
Well we could not remember much about the place, Mick remembered The White Hotel where he had teacher conferences, or that is what he told me and we both remembered the Pioneer Settlement.
Had lunch at the Bakery Tearooms and looked around the settlement, the PS Gem used to be a restaurant but today is a museum object with a restaurant built next door. Travelled around Swan Hill and it has changed so much, which can be expected after 38 years.
The Caravan Park is huge and we have plenty of room with a nice park along the river, that we will go for a walk along later today. The weather is quite windy but warm could get used to this we believe it is going to get pretty wet in the next few days.
We both had a go
The Little Murray
Just at the back of us, Mick said you would not want to be walking around after a few drinks tonight, the edge dropped away pretty suddenly. at the Kaiser Panorama Stereoscopic Theatre, it was amazing sitting on a seat looking into the eyepieces, watching beautiful scenery and photography from 1895 and you felt like you could reach out and touch the people and scenery. It was very much like 3D photography, not bad for 1895.
It is 4.30pm after we have both had a nap and people are still coming into the park, once again we have a spot close to the river and amenities which are new with 20 toilets and 20 showers, will be interresting to see what the water pressure is like when we shower.
