Having arrived in Victoria fresh from spending two months exploring the wilds of Tasmania, I was keen to get back out into nature as soon as possible. But with one week left of summer school holidays I had to find somewhere a little off the beaten track to avoid the crowds that would no doubt be lingering anywhere within a stone's throw of the coast; so where to go?!? The Strzelecki Ranges, of course! And I wasn't about to let my lack of wheels get in the way, so after hopping off the coach from Melbourne in Yarram, I shouldered my 20kg+ backpack and headed for the hills. 2km down the road I stuck my thumb out for the first time, and sure enough the very next motorist passing by happened to be heading to his ... read more

Hi All, So although I have been running a countdown for pretty much the last year we're now getting down to the final weeks. Only 34 days left until we leave the miserable Victorian weather for what?...an extended winter over in Europe! To be honest I am not looking forward to the European winter as I tend to feel the cold quite alot but am managing to look on the bright side. Winter can result in less queues (a plus for us as we plan to be stopping in at Disneyland Paris and the Lourve) and also winter means less tourists...so more chances of meeting the locals! So hopefully I can find myself some good thermals, boots, and jacket and brave the cold for a unique and different European experience. I also secretly cant wait for ... read more

We were exhausted and inspired after National Lones Scout Camp and enjoyed a few relaxing days at Brisbane Ashram. What a blessing to meet Laura in Australia.... Now that is a major Lila arrangement!! Had lovely visit with Faye, Matt, Corbin and Tenesha in Brisbane also and they sent us with tickets on a spontaneous day trip to one of the water theme parks on the Gold Coast. We did enjoy very much, thank you benefactors! The public transport is commendable in Brisbane and surrounds compared with some other Australian cities.... And we were on the road again, heading south, visiting as many of our happy people as possible on the way to catch the next plane.“This car is ‘so’ fancy and its way cheaper than sleeping in a hotel, so it’s ‘way’ better! Look how ... read more

We had heaps of fun at Ruth, Locky and Min's place. Cinders (the dog) was excited to see us too! Uncle Drew picked us up from the airport and he looked after us too when Mum and Ruth were at yoga. Min got the week off school to hang out with us. We got some movie time in and lots of jumping on the trampoline and even did some karma yoga moving some of the wood that Locky chopped for the inside fire. Locky made us yummy pizza and Ruthy made us delicious apple pies! Ruth took us to the beach. We found a drain and Cal wanted to walk back to India in it! Only when Aunty Ruth wasn't looking though! Aunty Ruth said she didn't go in the tunnels until she was a teenager ... read more
