Christmas Eve, oh not the garden again!

It's Christmas.

Wake up on the morning on the 24th December, with a very slight headache. Don't think those cocktails mixed too well, the night before?

We decide to have a big family BBQ for Xmas eve, so everyone heads round to our house for Dinner. The weather was perfect, warm sunny weather, blue skies and about 28degrees. Shorts and T'shirt again, 'Oh Dam' 😊

Stef cooks the Burgers and Sausage on the BBQ and for those who don't like the traditional aussie fare, some pizza, crisps, sausage rolls an nuts, oh yes and plenty of beer and wine!! We're sat in on the patio, and it's beautiful, the kids play together and no-one can believe it's Xmas eve, so....... we put the computer on a check out Santa as he makes his way down to Australia from Lapland (Norad, Santa Tracker). Kids love it and realise that we're practically first on the stopping schedule, and not having to wait for ages like you have to in the UK!

Finally, although it's difficult, we get all the kids to bed and the adults have to set up the living room ready for the following day's chaos. Santa brought

Santa has been
mine a trampolene, so after a few beers and wines we all pitch in to try and fit it together. The boys (Stef, Karl, Graham and Sarah's Dad), all read the instructions up-side down and need another beer to figure it out. Sensible girls (Katie and me) decide that another glass of wine and some star gazing is in order. The stars are absolutely beautiful down here on a clear night, you can see the milky way and satellites as they zoom around the earth! Peaceful and tranquil, apart from the guys in the corner of the garden still trying to put up the trampolene 2 hrs later! Oh, hang on I think that's Santa's sleigh we can see zooming through the stars...... or was it a shooting star!?

Time for bed! A busy day ahead of us.

6:00am, OMG mum get's us up, kids are bouncing around the house like a bunch of kangaroos just got in the house. Forced to get up, but that dull thudding headache is sticking around!

As usual, kids have a whale of a time, ripping off the wrapping paper and throwing it round the house, now this is the same

More discarded boxes/wrapping
as it is in the UK, except....... I've got my shorts and t'Shirt on again!!! Another beautiful summer's day, only 29degrees!!

Logically, Xmas Dinner is served on the patio! We have some distant relations over for Xmas dinner too (on Stef's side) and we have a perfect Xmas Dinner whilst the kids play on the trampolene and run around the garden with their new toys!
