Baz the Bomber
Baz has suddenly started following AFL! Why I got so pissed last night is anyone’s guess. Checking out so early on so little sleep is almost criminal. Going to Flinders instead of Spencer St is damn stupid. A cab ride and short run later and I make it to the Bendigo bound train with 2 minutes to spare. I feel even worser and it takes me until we are way out of Melbourne to catch my breath and grab some sleep.
After Bendigo it’s a road coach to Kerang. I wish the bus driver actually stayed on the road because there’s no way you could sleep while the driver is all over the road (and shoulder). The only good thing to come out of this trip is that the air con is working fine in the coach. When I’m off the bus, the head spins start coming on strong. Jason’s also due to greet me. It’s been a good two years alrighty!
The heat was absolutely ramming my head in and by the time I got to Jason’s and meet his parents (and Nicole!), I started to talk out the most convoluted shit ever! Worser than the way I was last night! I was
Will & Baz
Two dirty perverts meet for the first time! telling him about the trees that I saw in the far off distance as I made my way up here, and how I was going to expect them to turn into skyscrapers (It’s what happened on the way into Melbourne!). Little did I know that this same convoluted bullshit talk was the same way I was talking last night to some dude the Melbourne OSF have christened “Mr Smiley”, for some reason, “he hung onto every word that you said!” . Bullshit I reckon! Anyway, guess who wanted to catch up…Owen=Shibby!
It’s a very strange way to know how I got to start speaking to Owen, but guess who introduced us? Gina, Queen of Brissie! That’s right, Gina*, Queen of Pepsi Max was the first person to let me know about Owen. We did lose touch of each other but when I discovered he lived in Kerang (and not too far away from Jason!), this guy was suddenly in demand! And ain’t he a popular guy too, being a ‘Gary’ and all. He got the shock of his life when he invited me for his 18th in July and I told him, “dude I’ll be down there in three
weeks”-SHIBBY!
I was actually expecting Owen with the goldilocks look that he has in one of his photos but even still he looked like ‘Gary’ material. Jason, Owen and I then crossed the railway tracks and made way for The Dewhursts: Rebecca was home tonight and Owen had to see his “bride to be”! Meanwhile, I was told that I was going to be the one wed today but I had no idea what the hell Owen was on about! I think he just wanted to see someone married…
Nicole still remembers that awesome night two years ago and so does “Dewi” (Bec). We signed an ‘L’ plate for Bec during
LUYD (she somehow thought it was Knock Up Yer Daughters-LOL!), and it is still on her cupboard door. So it was the four of us now, and in the far off distance, walking towards us slowly was William. William? Maxim William? Toots William?! SHIT!!! The same William down with Lea (‘Exit’) who I spoke to the other night at Jess’ place (pretending to be Jess and telling Lea what a fine outstanding young man Johnny* was…he he he!). It was kinda funny; there were now five of us walking down the dusty drought-ridden streets of Kerang. We had our Dorothy (Bec), William was tall enough to be our Scarecrow, Jason was fit enough to be Tinman, I could easily see Owen being a lion (perhaps not cowardly!) and as for me? I would have passed for Toto anyday! I still felt dogsick and Jason and William did too after they had their own night out on the piss the previous night.
I still had no idea that it was actually (Maxim) William until he asks me, “…so, what did you and Jess really get up to last Saturday night?”-total freakout! As you see, always when we go on tour, people just drop on in when they hear that we are in town! But it’s cool-I told him everything including showing him and Jason a rather incriminating photo titled ‘booty_queen.jpg’ on my phone (Jess knows what I am on about!)
William-“Who is that?”
Jason-“Is that a guy?”
W, J-“OH MY GOD-IS THAT YOU?!”
Piss funny if you ask me! They were a bit shocked and so was I, because I practically saw and met everyone I wanted to in the first day! But there was one special girl who was coming home, she got here tonight and was going to spend a few days back in Kerang…
