12/2/18 Today we have a trip planned to Mornington Peninsular just over 100 km. away. The place we were making for was Arthur's Seat State Park. The aboriginal tribe (Boonwurrung) that originally inhabited the area called Arthur's Seat "Wonga" perhaps after their favoured pay day loan company or some say that it means a type of pigeon that had huge flocks there. The name "Arthur's Seat" was first used by a Captain John Murray because it reminded him of his home in Edinburgh. Arthur's Seat is an attraction now as it has a cable car system operating there named the Melbourne Eagle. Apologies for gobbleok with photos with last version Of this blog. 11/2/18 Today is the day of St Kilda's Festival which is supposed to be the largest free music festival in Oz. Ollie and Charlotte have been before and suggested we go out to see some more of the area. The road is being blocked off and they have been issued with a special pass that will allow them to get back to their appartment. We decided to go to Geelong which is quite an industrialised town but does have a waterfront that boasts 40 carved wooden bollards. We drove to Geelong and found a car parking space after a struggle.
