There is not much in Coles Bay in regard to stores and restaurants. The attraction here is the beautiful scenery, Freycinet National Park and water activities. You need a park day pass to visit Freycinet National Park. The two best walks are the easy short one to Cape Tourville Lighthouse with the spectacular views of the Eastern Coast of Tasmania or the longer trek to views of Wine Glass Bay. You need a park day pass to visit Freycinet National Park. There is no additional fee to take the walk to Cape Tourville Lighthouse and experience some amazing coastline views and scenery. Be careful while driving through the park to avoid hitting wallabies and quolls that abound here.

Money saving tip: Buy a vehicle holiday park pass good for 2 months online for 60AUD versus a vehicle day pass for 24AUD if you plan to visiting Tasmanian National Parks for more than 2 days. We totaled 8 days of use on our 12-day visit to Tasmania.
