For our visit to Freycinet National Park I decided to stay at Freycinet Lodge as it is located inside the park and has an excellent reputation. Our room, actually a private lodge had a great view of the bay and it was very private and quiet. Our lodge was very large with a sitting area and large flat screen TV on the wall. Breakfast was included with our package and the pancakes were among the best I have had anywhere. The coffee was included from the self service machine. It was also available in your room, instant or cafe filtre. Every room has a reserved parking space. The bar and lobby area is large with a massive fireplace. Outside they have a large veranda circling the building. I had a lovely dinner at both the main restaurant and at the bistro. The food is not inexpensive but it has to be delivered a long ways and is not out of line for a hotel of this quality. Great hiking trails are a short distance away. I thoroughly enjoyed our two nights here and wish it could have been longer.
Room Tip: Lodge 17 had great view of the bay and was very private and quiet.
