Tuesday, 13th April, at Port Lincoln. We left the park around 10-00am and headed up the coast
to Tumby Bay, a nice little coastal town where we had a look around and had lunch there.
After lunch we headed back to Port Lincoln and across to Coffin Bay where we went into the National Park and into all of the little bays and beaches. Quite spectacular. We saw a 3 foot long goanna crossing the road on the way in, and at Yangie Beach we saw 6 or so emu’s feeding near the camp site.
There was a 4wd tour guide taking some people around the area and he had a small joey in a sack and let him out to scratch around whilst we were there. A beautiful area and well worth visiting again.

Wednesday, 14th April, we went into town to do some banking and shopping and had a quiet relaxing
day.

Thursday, 15th April, up early, packed up and left at 9-15 am. We had intended to stay at Streaky Bay
But, as there was a mice plague there, we decided to stop at Venus Bay, about 75 km’s short of Streaky Bay. It was a great decision actually as the Caravan Park at Venus Bay was clean, modern and quiet,
and no mice. On the way there we had lunch at Elliston and did the local tourist route along the cliff
tops and took some great photos. Had some local fish and chips for tea tonight.

Friday, 16th April, we had planned to go touring today and left around 9-15 am heading north
toward Streaky Bay. We visited Murphy’s Haystack’s, a group of large rocks in a paddock.
Then on to the Cape Labatt seal colony a long 48km drive along gravel roads. From there we followed the road to Sceales Bay and on to the Westall Loop another Tourist route. We called into High Cliffs,
The Granites and a small fishing village called Fishermans Paradise. In all we travelled over 120 kms
on gravel roads. Then on to Streaky Bay where we had a look around and headed back to Venus Bay
late afternoon. It was quite a tiring day so we decided to stay an extra day for some R & R.

Saturday, 17th April, Went for a 2 hour walk along the coastline where we saw a pod of dolphins swimming in the bay. They were a bit hard to photograph as it was a bit overcast but were interesting to
watch. Didn’t do much in the afternoon and rested for the trip to Nundroo tomorrow.
