.....arrived in Airlie Beach and were very please with what we saw. Quite a lively place and the backpacker pub had pool tables and live music so had a bit of fun there.

We went on a one day trip from here to the Whitsundays. We saw three islands: Border, Whitehaven and South Molle. Very beautiful. We could have snorkelled but we opted out this time as rougher waters and didnt feel as confident in the water. We loved Whitehaven beach. The most like Paradise we have seen yet with its white beaches and crystal clear water. The sand was so white and the finest we had ever seen. It actually squeaked when we walked it was that fine. I even cleaned my rings with it so they are nice and sparkly now😊 South Molle wasnt much...just a very big resort where we just played pool.

Spent the next few days travelling down the coast as we wanted to get to Fraser Island. There wasn't that much to see...lots of vast dray sandy land, broken some forests and ..oh yeah...sugarcane!! Everywhere we look...its bloody sugarcane! Aparently the largest export crop in QLD and ya know, I would well beleive it.

We chose Hervey bay as our link to Fraser Island. There wasnt much in Hervey Bay, there was an awful lot of nothing. After 7pm, you'd barely see a soul.

The Frazer Island tour was led by yet another strange tour guide, Tony! I think that must be on the job spec here! We spent alot of time just driving around the beach on the first day which was lovely....but a tad boring after a while. We went to see the shipwreck, the Mendola (i think), pinnacles and then Indian Head. We thought this was quite beautiful. We even got to see some whales and then it was back for a barbie and a few beers at the hostel. Good fun but we were joined quite alot by dinghoes none the less.

The following day we went to lake MacKenzie...it was gorgeous...we had a couple of lovely relaxing hours there before we left and went to Central Station for our lunch and then we went on a 1.8km trek through the rainforest which was really lovely. Afterwards it was the long bumpy ride back to Hervey Bay!!

Back in Hervey we met up with two Irish girls and went for a few drinks in an Irish pub and had a great laugh, sharing stories and adventures.

Next stop after that was Noosa Heads on the Sunshine Coast. We really liked it here, very pretty. Got a couple of bargains clothes wise. The beach was lovely and we saw this guy doing some really cool sand castles..."Sand Art" he called it/ That night we camped on Sunshine beach and fell asleep to the sound of crashing waves...ahhhh
We left Noosa after freezzzzziiinnng cold showers the next day and went to Eumundai for the largest market in Oz/ Even though we didnt get any bargains it was still great. If was more of and arts and crafts thing, some cool stuff if ya had the dosh! One thing we did do was get a characature of us done...its cool! Then we headed to The Big Pineapple which was quite cool. It is basically a working plantation where we saw loads of crops and wildlife and were entertained for a while by some crazy cockatoos...could speak better than Darren...tee hee///😊

Onto Brisbane next for the drop off of the passion wagon :/ Driving was mental in the city but arrived safe and sound. So all in all the camper experience was a success!!!

Brisbane itself was good, big city, saw the sites and done some shopping (which was when i got to get rid of some of my scanky tops and replace them with some cool new ones...big up for me!!!) To eat in and stay or drink it was quite expensive so good thing we had a flight to catch after two days to Adelaide......
