Onwards to Leyburn

Ryan headed into TBar with our ‘we forgot to bring it’ list.

After he got back and had lunch, we packed up and decided to head for a free camp rest area at Leyburn. My parents had stayed there before and said it was really nice (for a free camp) and we figured it was worth a look.

They weren’t lying. The area was big, open and pretty flat with a clean toilet block and drinking water. There were a few other vans / motorhomes around, so we picked a spot and went about setting up for the evening.

I gave the cob a burl for the first time and realised that you need to let the heat beads go all red before starting to cook.

Pretty early to bed, as the TV still doesn’t work and we were both pretty tired… neither of us slept well, as the bed in the van is a little bit like sleeping on sort of soft concrete.
