I often go to this place, 2 hrs journey from Brisbane (Australia's third largest city) on weekends and what a place it is to be on weekends. It is hard to describe in words. This place is surrounded by national park on Moreton Island, and Tangalooma offers a great places for visitors for living, exploring and adventure. John a local says that living here is a blessing. White beaches look beautiful and great for photography. Tangalooma is great place for swimming, surfing and fishing. While I was searching online for this place, I also found out that this place is also listed as one of the best places for Whale Watching as you can see in this article. TANGALOOMA TAFE TRIP (31.10.17- 01.11.17) 6am Tuesday morning the class met at the Tangalooma wharf on Holt st Pinkenba in Brisbane. We collected our boarded passes from the front desk and checked in the bags that we wanted taken to our rooms which I thought was a cool service to have as it meant people didn’t need to carry around their bags while waiting for their room to be ready. At about 6:45 we began to board the ferry, which sat roughly 340 people in total, although on this morning there were not to many people aboard. The ferry was very comfortable and had its own café and toilet facilities. The trip over was very smooth and only took just over an hour to get to the Island. We planned a stop at Tin Can Bay which is quite close to Rainbow beach and Hervey Bay for one reason only. Dolphin feeding. I’d read somewhere that wild dolphins come to the marina to be fed every morning so we stopped in Tin Can Bay for just 24 hours to quell our desires! Tin Can Bay is a small town with very little going on. I suppose it could have been that it was late afternoon on a Sunday that we arrived but I think I’m being a bit generous in thinking that more things might go on during the week there as there was pretty much no sign of life, apart from the people driving up to the drive through liquor store that was a part of the hotel we stayed in that ... read more
