Day 4 - Sea World - Brisbane

Hellooooo everyone from sunny hot Brisbane!

We started out fairly early this morning to travel to Surfers Paradise and Sea World.
Bekk and I arrived at about 10.20am just in time to be before the crowds.
First thing we did was to go and see the Dolphins at play and they have this routine that they do to show the dolphins off.
Must admit it was rather exciting!

From there we wandered into the 4D film of insects and sea creatures, I think the scary bit was putting on the glasses and watching a big python come towards you….LOL

We walked through the Polar bear exhibit, the new Shark Bay and got some great photos of sharks and sting rays under the water.

We had lunch at the Dockside Tavern, I had chicken in pyjama’s and Bekk had another salad, she still isn’t feeling a hundred percent. Bekk got up to get her drink filled and a seagull came down to try and steal her food of her plate. (See the photo).
The table on the second floor over looked the Dolphin Nursery where they keep the sick dolphins and we watched them at play while eating was rather good.

We got to travel around the park on the monorail and across the park on the skyrail. The park was awesome to see it from the air. As we were going across the park we saw folks gathering for the sea lions attraction so we got off the rail and went back to them.
They gave a play about a man who was stealing fish and a great big sea lion was one of the detectives to solve the crime….was probably the best thing I have ever seen using an animal. We laughed and yelled at the good guys and boohooed the bad guys, and we enjoyed it all!

By this time poor Bekk was just about tired out so we headed home for her to have a rest.

Ohhh and yes we stopped for Krispy Kremes on the way home, heehee, yep even I had some!

Poor Jay had to miss out on all the fun! We thought we might come back to Sea World in January when I take Charlie back to Brisbane for the birth of the baby.
