Early morning walk
We had a early start to the day and went for a walk to see where Capt Cook first landed in Queensland back in May 1770 (hence the name of the town where we stayed). It was very pretty there but just a bit overcrowded with people, eventhough the caravan park owner told me that this was fairly quiet. We decided to pack up and drive onto Gladstone. We went to see where my nephew Thommo works. He takes ferries from Gladstone to an island where there is a mine being built.

We then drove onto Rockhampton and had a quick look and then onto Emu Park where we have decided to stay for two nights. We are right next to the beach but unfortunately you can't see it from the caravan because of the growth but you can hear the waves crashing. It is really quiet, just the way we like it! We went for a walk after we set up and had a look around the town.
