Fri 11. Long start line. Windy, I'm going to get wet. Spare jacket from suicide. Too much information. Double Cone Island to port. Then Amit Island too. Fastest by eleven minutes and fifth. Hard handicap untroubled by result.
Sat 12. We're flying SC&B from the stern. As we pull out of the harbour the boat in front of us has a sticker on its stern!! Today's start more intense. White Rock to windward. We caught bullets. Back past Daydream Island. Eleven knots under kite. Bluff Point. And a last glorious work windward finishing off Mandalay Point. Totally top team from Townsville. Skipper Chris from W.A. as well. All good. Day Two Race Week
