Well after my drunken antics on my birthday we travelled on the oz bus down to Airlie beach. The first day it rained pretty much all day we dashed out to the shops to get food for lunch and then in the evening james went and picked up some pizzas from dominoes for us, in between we just chilled out at the hostel and watched a bit of TV.

The next day we went on a sailing trip around the Whitsunday Islands. Our boat was a purple catamaran called the Camira. We were sailing for an hour and a half when the boat stopped. We were wondering why we had stopped for a while when the crew announced that they had just received a Tsunami warning and we may have to turn back!!! I was a bit scared as the water was VERY choppy already and just floating for 10 minutes waiting to find out if we had to turn back or not. Me scared of the water and i am in the middle of the sea in a boat when they tell me we might have a Tsunami any minute aaaah!!!
But then they said we could carry

on because it didnt look like it was going to hit this far south phew! It was only when we got back to the hostel and saw the news on the TV that we realised how serious it was though people in Airlie beach and all up the East coast had started to move away from the coast. But what had actually happened was there was an earth quake in the Solomon Islands which caused a Tsunami up there it may have hit Fiji too but it didnt reach Australia.

Anyway apart from that the trip was really good. It was all inclusive so we just lay on the boat while it sailed about and there were 2 freezers one with soft drinks, and one with beer and wine so we could help ourselves. And they just kept bringing food out, and tea - wow i miss cups of tea! We stopped off for people to go snorkelling then moved onto White Haven Beach, it was gorgeous the sand was amazing it was really white and so soft. You could clean your jewellery in it as well. We were on the beach for about an hour and then the

dingy came and took us back to the boat for a BBQ lunch at 3pm which was really nice. Then we sailed back to Airlie beach which took about 2.5 hours. We were on the boat for 10 hours in total but it went really fast.

It is Lia's last day with us today tomorrow we move onto Kroombit (which is a cattle ranch place) and she is getting the bus all the way to Brisbane to catch her flight. We went to the Lagoon today - they have one of those pools like in Cairns because again you cant go in the sea here without a stinger suit (like a wet suit). After grabbing some lunch we just chilled out for the afternoon (had a bit of rain again). Then we sorted out some accommodation for the places we are visiting soon and going to go for dinner in a bit.

Yyyyyyyyyyyyyyo!
Hey dudes! i have arrived in singapore airport! hope you are all having fun - i can't believe how long the bus took - i thought it was never gona end!! As for greyhound, much more comfortable than ozE, and they stop for food/toilet breaks, not croc farms! not very easy to sleep on i found, tho kate should hav no problem! boarding my next flight in half hour. the thought of a nice clean bed for along sleep is appealing to me now, after approx 2 hours sleep on the bus and refusal to sleep on qantas, in order to make the most of the films! someone left a bag in the hostel (james?!). i'm guessin it's katys cos when i looked inside it had a slip with her name on it. amongst the other things in this army green bag were spearmint chewing gum, a pencil, a pen and a calculator. ringing any bells? i have packed it, what should be done with it? well you guys, im gona go find somewhere 2 clean my teeth. enjoy the rest of your trip, hope fraser island rules! loadsa love, Lia xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
