Snorkling
Jo and Graeme coming in from snorkling So, after flying from the Centre (Alice Springs) to the northeast (Cairns), I met up with Jo and Graeme. We had one relaxed day in Cairns (which was good because I picked up a bad cold on the last day of the camping trip). Our second day, we went out on a Great Barrier Reef tour (boat). Jo and Graeme went snorkling, but I managed from the glass bottom boat (I was still a little sick). The next day we went up to Cape Tribulation. Our tour stopped at Port Douglas (which I highly recommend) and we did a walk in the rainforest and a croc watching tour down a river (both in Daintree National Park). We spent the night up in Cape Trib and had a day at the beach the next day. We went back to Cairns for the night and then took the Greyhound down to Townsville (they played Chasing Liberty, which I don't recommend). We spent the night in Townsville before heading out to Magnetic Island for 2 days and 2 nights. On MI, we went to the beach, snorkled, went on a search for a pub in Nely Bay (to no avail), got Mexican food, ran
into a couple of Brown students (I've only encountered a handful of Americans since I've been here....most people are English, Irish or German), watched Wild koalas eating and watched a possum eat his dinner on the side of the road while waiting for the bus. We came down to Airlie Beach and will be taking a 2 day/ 2 night sail through the Whitesunday Islands....photos of that later (it was fantastic)! You can also see more pictures of the trip on Jo and Graeme's travelbog....just search "Jo and Graeme" under Bloggers.... Jamie

Amazing Pictures
Hi Jamie, your pictures are amazing. Both the sky and ocean are so blue. The rainforest pictures are just incredible. I've nevery really been interested in visiting Australia, but I just changed my mind. Please be safe and have a good time!
