Day 77 Town of 1770

A trip of about 120 Km today to 1770. The unusual name is related to the year that Captain James Cook first set foot in Queensland - May 24, 1770. Stopped briefly at Miriam Vale on the way here. Walked to the beach this afternoon, a pleasant stroll of 900 m through the bush.

Read somewhere that the town is famous for crab sandwiches so had to stop to check them out so discovered the big crab.

They were delicious.

1770 Beach.

The caravan park joins the beach via a walk through the bush.

Yet another beautiful spot to spend a couple of days.
