Read somewhere that the town is famous for crab sandwiches so had to stop to check them out so discovered the big crab.

A trip of about 120 Km today to 1770. The unusual name is related to the year that Captain James Cook first set foot in Queensland - May 24, 1770. Stopped briefly at Miriam Vale on the way here. Walked to the beach this afternoon, a pleasant stroll of 900 m through the bush. ... read more
