Katherine

I was thinking that Katherine was going to be just a small town but it was huge!!!! and olot of "locals" hanging around in the parks....
On the first day getting to Katherine we just passed through and went to Mataranka where some Hot Springs were and it was worth the extra 200kms return trip to visit!!!
We stayed 1 day and on our way back to Katherine we also went to some Hot Springs in town (soo addictive) from here we headed for Darwin but needed a stop along the way so we drove into Nitmiluk National Park and stayed here 2 nights. We had a water pool/waterfall just 150mtr away from our campsite (which only cost us $16...sweet!!) so it was nice and handy but they also had 1 more called Edith Falls which was a 1hr walk to (and then back).

From here we took off to Darwin
