So welcome to our new adventure (on the road)
This blog will have our journey posted from June onwards, next 6 months or more, all you gotta do now is keep up!!!!
Our mobile home will be a 4WD Hilux and a Jayco pop-top caravan that we will be travelling in.

We will be heading North then East, visiting frinds in KALBARRI, KARRATHA and BROOME on the way but also stopping anywhere in between such as MONKEY MIA, CORAL BAY, EXMOUTH ....so on.
We have no time limit, itinerary or route for our adventure, the plan is to see/do as much as we can and have as much fun as we can as a family.

Well its been over 1 more month spent in Bali to get away from the wet season in Darwin!!! We have had more visitors come to visit us and still await for more!!! It was very busy over the silly season so we stayed in alot and only went out if we had to but come the first week of Jan it started to get quiet again, so we started going for day trips again. 1 we went on was to Turtle Island which was really just a boat ride to another beach which had turtles and a few other animals that we got to handle, Axel loved handelling the turtles!!!! Our Bali house

When we first got to bali we stayed in 2 diff hotels, Adi Dharma and Masa Inn. Oh and i would totally recomend the Masa Inn to anyone who wants to be centeral as it was right in the middle of Poppies 1. While looking for a more long term accom ($$cheaper) and on our last day a bali friend came through!!! We found a house half way between Kuta and Legian (more so Legian) which is kinda like a duplex but with 2 huge houses!!! and a pool in the middle, we are in the back house and the people who own it live in the front house with there 3 young boys, which Ax thinks is great sharing the pool with them. We have now had more than enough of Darwin!!! Ready to move on. Troy had been taken advantage of way too much at his work so he told them to stick it a couple of weeks ago and quit on them, towards the end he was doing any where up to 10-15 hours extra a week and not getting a cent extra (but we do miss our freebies...coke/milk/water) My hours have gone down due to wet season up here and not as many tourists = not as many hours. So thank goodness we only have 2 weeks in Darwin left as we are getting pretty bored now, even done the rounds of the park and borrowed everyones DVD's that we have not yet seen just to kill some time!!! Well we are still here in Darwin....i managed to get Axel into pre-school while here, he does 2 days 1 week the the next week 2 1/2 days and is loving it!!! He is making so much stuff at school and then brings it home and i have to then find some room for it in our van :-/ Troy is still working with coke which has its perks, he gets to bring home a carton a week and then bits and pieces during the week so we have coke, powerade and pump water coming out of our arses at the moment!!!! Well we just had Mar & Pa (my mum and dad) up for a surprise visit here in Darwin, they stayed in the park with us but in a villa (with aircon the pussy's) and were here for only 4 days which was sooo not long enough :( :( But we did have a great time and got to show them around a bit. Troy picked them up from the airport while me and Ax waited here and we just so happen to have gone to the "little man's room" and they drove straight past us!!!! but lucky Ax didnt see them so once they got to our van they just sat down and waited....well mum got the reaction that she wanted when Axel ran up and gave her a huge hug but was little funny ... read more

Once we hit Darwin and had a look around we thought we would stay around here for a while because it reminded us of home (well Mandurah actually) Oh and because my mum and dad are flying up to visit us all YIPPEE!!!!!!! I soo can't wait to see the look on Axel's face when he see's them cause we havn't told him and kept it as a suprise. We booked into 1 caravan park for 1 week and after 3 days we had enough as there was no grass, just sand which ment "sand flies" and gee they were hungry!!!! and also the airport was right across the road and when a planes take off we know about it no matter if its 1 in the arvo or 3 in the morning GRRR!!!! I was thinking that Katherine was going to be just a small town but it was huge!!!! and olot of "locals" hanging around in the parks.... On the first day getting to Katherine we just passed through and went to Mataranka where some Hot Springs were and it was worth the extra 200kms return trip to visit!!! We stayed 1 day and on our way back to Katherine we also went to some Hot Springs in town (soo addictive) from here we headed for Darwin but needed a stop along the way so we drove into Nitmiluk National Park and stayed here 2 nights. We had a water pool/waterfall just 150mtr away from our campsite (which only cost us $16...sweet!!) so it was nice and handy but they also had 1 more called Edith Falls which ... read more
