2 countries, 9 airplanes, 1 rental car, 1 helicopter, 5 hotels, 1 BIG (luxury) bus, and many adventures...but who is counting! We arrived in Darwin today (Thursday for us - Wednesday for you). We are staying at the Crown Plaza on the 20th floor. Great views of the ocean...coastal town...beautiful! Warm - 85 or so...not quite as hot as Ayers Rock but a bit more humid. The area reminds me of Florida.
Tyler spent time in the pool - seems to love the water. Tomorrow (Friday) we are picked up @ 6:15 am for our 3 day camping trip. We won't be taking the computer with us...don't think we will have internet capabilities. The trip sounds like fun: Day 1 Darwin to Mary River (waterfalls of Litchfield National Park, birds and crocodiles for our river cruise); Day 2: Mary River to Kakadu (ancient Aboriginal rock art, hikes, plunge pools); Day 3: Dakadu to Darwin: 4 wheel drive action to Jim Jim Falls on our way to Twin Falls. The falls refer to "water" so don't be worrying about us falling.... 😊
We will be back in touch on Sunday (think it will be Easter). I asked Tyler if he wanted me to bring chocolate easter eggs and bunnies to hide in the forest. He opted for NOT.
We miss you all but having a great time!!!
