Left Coober Pedy and followed another dusty road to Oodnadatta and had lunch at the Pink Roadhouse. I got a PINK stubby holder - everything was pink, except the swing. We had to stop to fix the broken rear windscreen. Got to Dalhousie Springs camp at dark again and there were lots of mozzies and sandflies there. We used Aerogard, but it didn’t work! In the morning had a swim in the hot springs. It wasn’t too hot by the stairs, but there were lots of fish and they were whacking my legs. It was freezing when I got out. Saw a dingo hanging around the campsite. Some people were feeding it, so it stayed around the campsite.

We drove through Finke, and there was lots of rubbish outside the Aboriginals houses. Didn’t stop for lunch, had snakes instead in the car. Followed the Old Ghan Rail Route (very bumpy) and found some old sleeper spikes beside the road. Got to Chambers Pillar in time for sunset. Arrived in Alice Springs on Wednesday.
