Dog made from Water Tank at siding on Old Ghan Rail line
Went past Berrie Creek and saw lots of sculptures. I liked the dog that was made out of the old Ghan Water Siding Tanks best. It was about 8m high. We got into Coward Springs camp at dark. We were looking for firewood by torchlight. Finally got a fire going, had toast and jaffles. Looked around old siding, Station Masters house with wells and hot springs (but didn’t have a swim).
When we got to Coober Pedy we went to the Old Timers Museum and Alex & I went “noodling” for opals in the noodle pit out the front. Found some and got to keep them, and I will show you when I get back. Saw how they used to get rocks out that didn’t have opal in it. I got to put a stone up the tube of the blower. It’s really, really, sucky! I took a photo of one of the blower truck’s to show you.
