A week of ups and downs and an understanding of the "vicissitudes of life".The ups and downs were mainly the Landrover on a garage hoist first at Lochsport and then at Nicholson. The first garage didn't know what it was doing and the second was a pro and helped us considerably.Result is that the immediate problem with the transmission has been sorted but the bad news is that we are not sure if the transmission will get us round Australia. The pro's advice was to keep driving and so we have.A night at the very attractive Lakes Entrance and two at Mallacoota where we parked 20m. from the water, did a walk in the Croajingalong(great name) National Park and I caught my first fish-a trophy flathead by all accounts. We ate half tonight and it was as good as people told us.Today we have come 270kms(a record for us!) to Maruya and will explore this coastal area of NSW before heading off towards Canberra.
