kirsty's relatives
Wollongong is a really nice little place a little south of sydney. Whilst there we met up with Kirsty's relatives, one of whom lives in wollongong. Once we met up with them we went to the pub and ended up spending the next 8 hours there. This was really good as they are very nice people. We also did the city walk, a walk that takes a couple of hours and takes you past all the things to see in wollongong. This was good and gave us quite a few photo opportunities, it also helps you get your bearings.

On christmas day we went out for a really big and tasty meal. Just to show you how much we got this is what we had:
Aquas xmas set menu:

Breads:
mini tomato brushcetta
olive tapanade
grilled turkish with herb
grilled turkish with garlic

Starters:
Crab and green mango salad
Smoked Salmon rolls
Garlic and basil prawns

Entrees:
Kilpatrick and mornay oysters
Salt and pepper squid
Tempura vegetables

Mains:
roasted saddle of lamb stuffed with apricot and cumin
herb buttered turkey with citrus stuffing
Roasted chicken breast stuffed camembert, wrapped in prosciutto
Roasted pork with homemade sauces

Dessert:
Anas tiramisu

Although i didn't really like all the fish the food was really nice and we were sat outside in the sun with a good view of the sea and the lighthouse. The weather on xmas day was excellant, we were afraid it was going to be bad because the previous couple of days were not very nice but it turned out gorgeous and we had our first xmas in the sun. After the meal we headed down to the beach, we had a little paddle and a walk around. Later on that day we sat on our patio and had a bit of a picnic which included a cheese selection. This was good as I have been missing cheese.

On boxing day we went to nan tien temple in unanderra, which was having a cultural festival (I think I heard somewhere that this is the largest temple in the southern hemisphere). It was very nice and very big but did not have the same feel as the really old temples we saw in Japan. We came back and went for a swim in the outdoor pool which was weird as it was boxing day.
