Since we arrived in Sydney at the end of November, on any given day you can find us... ...having too much fun to keep up with blogs! ...going to the beach all the time! Clontarf if Emmi is choosing, Fairlight if we just want something close we can walk to, Manly or Freshie if we want some good waves for bodysurfing. And any other beach we feel like! ...walking to Manly from Maja and Steve's. Today was Sarah’s surprise 30th Birthday, so we caught the bus from QVB in the city up to Balgowlah where the party was being held at her Brother’s place. Sarah was suitable surprised when she arrived at her brother’s house thinking she was on her way out for a nice family dinner. In fact it may be the first time we have seen her speechless! The party was held in the garden with waiters to top up the glasses of bubbly and hand around some tasty canapés. We met quite a few of the Patterson’s along with friends from all over Australia who we tapped up for tips later on in our travels. Sarah picked us up and gave us a lift to the North side of Sydney for a housewarming BBQ at Hamish and Christine’s place in Balgowlah. They out did themselves with all the food and we made sure we showed our appreciation by tucking in! We also met Nelly the Pattersons family dog at the BBQ, who was surprisingly well behaved given all the sausages and kebabs that were around! After the BBQ we headed over to Paddington to a Christmas drinks party that was being hosted by Jess and Andy’s friend. We supped away at our drinks whilst listening to the Christmas Glee album (not our choice) before moving the party onto some of the local pubs where there were far too many shots/ drinking contests!
