Day 2

Hi everyone.
Yes today is Rodger's 67th Birthday and he has enjoyed it very much.
We travelled from Trangie to Broken Hill today.
We looked out of our door at 6am to a beautiful sunrise, had breakfast and was on the road again by 7.30am.
We had lunch about 11.30am at a road side stop with 8 other Grey Nomads.
Of course we had to stop this arvo and eat all our fruit before we entered Broken Hill.
or get a $200 fine.

We both are amazed by the lack of wild life around. Maybe they have relocated use to the floods.
Speaking of floods. The last time we tavelled this road it was barren and mostly red dirt. Now it is green and lush, we were so surprised and happy.
Back to the wildlife. Lots of birds, swarms of locus and grass hoppers (splattered all over my car and van). 5 wild goats, 10 emus and NO Kangarooa. We can not believe that we have not seen 2 Kangaroo in over 1000Klms.

We now are settled into a caravan park in Broken Hill and will stay here for 2 nights, before we head down south to start our adventure across the Nullabor.
I will try and add pics tomorrow.
Got to go now. Rodger has just finished BBQing our dinner.
Luv to everyone
Di and Rodger

What happened to day 1?
Well hello grey nomads, Some questions - What happened to the blog for day 1? Did you delete it? I presume the "Grey Nomads" is because of your age? Why would you get fined for taking fruit into Broken Hill? Sounds like something our crazy polititians would think of lol. I need some background for your trip. I'm thinking it is going to take a while but you must have some idea how long you are going to be away for. Have you any idea where you are going to or is it - "Lets turn left here and see where we end up?" Are you travelling by car or it it one of those houses on wheels things like a Winniebago and I have no idea who she is, I have heard of Minnie Mandela but WinnieBago is new to me rofl. I was going to pull you up about the lack of pictures but you say you are going to upload some tomorrow - good :-) I am looking forward to reading your blog everyday as I get it sent automatically to my email. By the time you read this it will be past Rodgers Birthday but Happy Birthday anyway Rodger. Keep having fun - John
