We finally reached the halfway mark a few days ago. The trail has been quite enjoyable since we got back on after our break in the bay area. It has been days since we have seen any snow, and the summer weather seems to have finally arrived. The good weather and clear trail have allowed us to put in 9 consecutive days of 30+ miles. We arrived at Old Station where Firewalker and Firefly resides on the 2nd. They have put us up and fed us incredibly well for the last day and a half. We will be leaving here today and anticipate we will be out of California and into Oregon in about 11 days.

Hello
Glad to know that the weather is better. As I flew over the mountains on my way home, I saw all those snow covered peaks and worried you would be back into waist high snow again. From your pictures I can see that the scenery is beautiful, and no snow in sight! I enjoyed hanging out with you in Berkeley. Let me know where your next mail drop is so I can send some treats!

Happy Trails
We just got home from 2800 miles on the Goldwing. About 300 to 400 miles a day. Mostly great weather. Went through South Dakota, parts of Yellowstone and up to Billings. We are both tired but in our case the bike does most of the work. Glad to hear you guys had a good rest and the trail is better. Looks beautiful

Enjoy
Hi Andy and Mosa! Glad you have made it to the half way point safely and with lots of great adventures. I had never heard of Lassen NP, but loved the photo of the geothermal lake. I hope you get a chance to enjoy some of the great parts of Oregon and Washington that are off the trail. Stay safe, and look forward to hearing more about your hiking. Love, Aunt Dee
