I believe that the U.S government should keep the promises they made to the Native American treaties because it would cause less fighting or arguments between the both sides. Also if the U.S government do not keep their promises then they would make themselves look bad. If you are going to make a promise and not keep it then why promise. If they look bad then other countries would not like to make any sort of commitment with them because they are not trust worthy. If the US government want other people to be loyal to them then they should also do what other people expect in return. Even if the government has a lot of work or need to have a look to other stuff they should still be able to do whatever they promise. I also believe that the US should keep their promises because the Native Americans had to give up something to get those promises in return. It will be selfish that only one side had to sacrifice something and not get something in return.
