This morning, I spent time at The Vicksburg National Military Park. Vicksburg was a huge battle that lasted several months and the winner was able to control a lot of the Mississippi River which was important mainly for supply lines. The National Park was a driving tour. i was able to listen to recordings on an app that I downloaded. There were hundred of memorials throughout the Park....pictured a few. I was able to walk on the USS Cairo, an ironclad gun boat. Before I left the park, I went through the Vicksburg Military Cemetery. Overwhelming.

The city of Vicksburg was cool. I then drove to Mobile. Again, more gorgeous green along the highways.
