Day 31 - The sun does shine on Washington

Our last day at Whidby Island and the sun finally decided to come out. It was a balmy 66 degrees and a real heat wave for us… Joe and I were able to get the bikes out and go for a 4 mile ride. Towards the end of the ride I was almost dive bombed by a bald eagle being chased by another huge bird. The eagle was so close to me I had to stop riding and just watch him fly. It was simply amazing. Joe took a great picture of one of the eagles who lands in the tree right by our camp. Tomorrow we are off to Canada. We plan to take about three weeks to get to Alaska.
