Last minute clean up of the house, and on to Bear and off we go. It feels really good to be on the road again. We headed south to Penticton, along Lake Okanagan and through some beautiful country, unfortunately through many light rain showers and chilly temps. Crossing the border into Washington State, USA was very easy this time. We didn't even have to get off the bike. I wish they were all this straightforward. The agent was pleasant, asked intelligent questions, and dealt with the idea of our adventure with understanding and not unbelief. We headed on to Seattle, as I had a flight booked for Monday. I was taking a chance by riding without a good license, but to fly from Canada would have been an extra $400. We pulled into the hotel parking lot just at sundown after a long, chilly and damp day.

I hopped a flight through Phoenix to Indy getting in about 1/2 hour after midnight. Gee, ain't flying fun.

Straight to the License Branch first thing in the morning, and out again after about 30 minutes with a newly minted driver's license, and since I was there anyway, a 2010 sticker for the plate on Bear. Then after a quick lunch with daughters Rachel and Star, I climbed aboard the flight through Chicago - Midway and on back to Seattle. In by 7 pm
