Motorhome News from North America 9 9th - 20th April 2006 Somewhere over the Mountains Somewhat against our better judgement we headed east from the coast at Newport toward the Cascade Mountain Range, determined to venture deeper into Oregon lest we shall never return. The road follows the wide rambling Yaquina River to Corvallis, the home of Hewlett Packard, another town, much the same as any other, but this one had petrol at the best price for miles - and an extra 3 cents per gallon off for Safeway card holders! I'm not sure how it got to be so down to the wire! Maybe being distracted by buying a house, interviewing and hiring a new case manager, trying to support a distraught teenager (the one in my house, not the 120 at work) and completely revolutionizing my relationship with G whilst balancing work, personal life, buddhist activities, and more might have something to do with it! Oh, and going to more shows! Utah Phillips, all male ballet review, etc. Fun, but time consuming. I started a "going to New Zealand" pile today - I cleared off my desk and piled up a bunch of stuff that needs to go to NZ with me, largely stuff from mom's list of what she wants me to bring her! Brother Mike, from Portland Oregon, and I had a fun fly fishing weekend August 16 - 17, 1997. He arrived in Olympia, Washington a little after noon on Friday. We went out for lunch at a local Mexican food cafe and commenced to talk FF (fly fishing talk). He had tuned up at his fly casting pond in Portland before driving to Olympia. He was primed. After lunch, we bought our licenses at Big 5 Sports, and became legal. It had been awhile since I dipped a fly in water. I didn’t buy a license in 1996 in an effort to restock the streams in Western Washington.
