Visited Red Canyon, Utah. It is aptly named. You are surrounded by red rock cliffs and various rock formations of all shapes and sizes. Lots of great hiking trails and many are quite short (under a mile) so not too taxing. Of course for the more adventurous longer hikes are available. The pictures give you a good sense of the colours and sizes and various shapes of the rocks. Lovely scenery so I spent probably four hours here hiking the trails and of course taking pictures. Next stop Bryce Canyon, one of the more popular and visually-stunning areas. Stay tuned.
