Visited the Kolob Canyon portion of Zion National Park, Utah . Did a 5 mile scenic drive with great views of the canyons in the area.

Then I hiked the Middle Fork of the Taylor Creek. A 5 mile round trip hike ending in the "double arch alcove". A majestic, striated cliff. The Navajo sandstone is streaked with water seeping thru the rock layers producing a very colourful effect.

Further upstream I encountered a weeping wall with water seeping through the rocks and flowing down.

I must say after 5 hour on the trail the legs were getting a little sore. Needless to say a nap afterwards!
