The end of September. We are camping at OK RV in Moab, Utah. It is a Passport America membership campground. Very friendly owner here but the sand spurs keep Princess from walking outside. Sandy and Bruce are camped at an “Owner’s campground.” Very nice. Off to hike in Arches National Park.

Water, ice, extreme temperatures and underground salt movement continue to sculpture the rocky scenery in Arches National Park . We hiked through Devils Garden, Delicate Arch and Sand Dune Arch. We were nearly blasted away by the wind at Sand Dune Arch. Hiking at 5,000 ft limited Tom a little bit, but not too much. It is amazing how these arches form.

One evening we took a romantic moon-lit cruise on a jet boat, 3 miles up the Colorado River in Canyonlands National Park. No cell phones or cameras allowed. (Picture on blog from their website.) We saw the Milky Way Galaxy for the first time in our lives. A satellite flew over too (definitely not a UFO or IED.) Spectacular!

The next day the four of us hiked the rim (yikes!) of Canyonlands. Astonishing cliffs and canyons form this arid empire of monuments and mesas. I’m

running out of adjectives. We said goodbye to our friends as they head West and we head to a place Tom has wanted to see since he was a little boy. ..next blog. (Double click a picture to enlarge.)

You Rock!
No pun intended (but you know me) I just had to say that. Thank you for sharing your travels with us. You have really covered some beautiful territory since you were here June 11th. I am happy that you were able to put some miles under your MH this year. But wait, you have visited so many sites this summer what remains for us to see with you when we are with you next May, June, July and August? When will the next blog be published? I can hardly wait to find out where Tom's secret boyhood yearning is. Safe journey. We love you both. Give Princess a hug from Baxter. Love, Dave and Sue

Wow!
You two are quite the hikers. Glad you're getting to see and explore our beautiful West. I liked the moon over the water. Thanks for your travelogue.
