Today was a cold day. The temperature gauge on the car showed the highest it ever reached was 39. We stayed in the car sightseeing most of the day.

We headed toward Leakey today. The sights were gorgeous. It was hard to find places to pull off to take pictures. We stopped in downtown Bandera and went in a shop there. They had an old fashion ice cream and soda fountain. It was too cold to get anything. It was so cold walking from the parking lot to the store. We also stopped at the courthouse. We did not go in there just looked from the car. They have a pretty courthouse.

We had stopped at one place with a pullout where we could take pictures. There was a black trash bag laying in the tall grass just off the pullout. Mama made the comment she hoped there was not a cut up body in that bag. It did make me stopped and think about how people do find things like that on back roads which was where we were at that time. I looked at it good and could see the shape of a square box toward the lower half so it was just trash. At least I hope it was, see what an over active imagination will do for you. J

When we left Leakey we headed to Lost Maples State Park. The leaves were starting to change there and it was so pretty. There were hiking trails I would have like to do but it was starting to get late and we were about 130 miles from the condo so needed to start heading back. I heard on the news tonight they were expecting the State Park to be very crowded this weekend with all the people looking at the leaves.
