Well, we are on the train again we are headed from Fort Worth to Los Angeles at this time. Yesterday was a very laid back day. Jennifer and I went to the gun range and shot through a lot of ammo and targets. The range was out of 9mm but had plenty of .38 and .22; I was amazed at how poorly I shot a .22 versus a 9mm. After that, we stopped at Waffle House where I remembered why I never eat at there. We then moved along to a couple of sporting good stores and a couple of other stores before we headed back to the house. On our way back to the house we found a fabulous chocolate place where we picked up a bunch of handmade chocolates and macaroons for snacking on. These were phenomenal as they were all handmade with Belgian style chocolate and painted by hand for the decorations. As many of you know, chocolate is my weakness, and I fell hard. Anyway, after we got home from that, we laid down and enjoyed a nap before climbing into the pool one final time.
Soon it was time for Jennifer and me
to head out to have one last supper with Christopher before our departure. We went to a local draught house and grill, the food was ok, and the beer was cheap...other than that the company was what made it worth it. After we had left to go back to the house, we stopped at a local cigar shop with an 800 sqft humidor so that I could pick up some nice cigars for Jennifers uncle Victor.
Went home figured out how to fit everything back in the suitcase, and Jennifer took a nice relaxing bath for the final time with one of her smelly bath bomb things. We crawled into bed and woke up in the morning packed the car and headed out to Ol' South again for German Pancakes one last time. We ate those and stopped to pick up a fan for the train before turning in our rental car and heading to the train station. We got the world's most unfriendly Über driver this trip, he received my first 1 star as he didn't get out and help with luggage, he wanted us to carry all our bags across the street so that he
wouldn't have to cross a busy street at a light and turn into a parking lot. When we got to the station, we found out the train was running about an hour late, so we settled in for the wait where I read my book, and Jennifer played her games. Jennifer met a blind lady who was going to San Antonio who had a guide dog which of course Jennifer made friends with as quickly as she could. The dog soon had to have "park time" so I helped the lady find a patch of grass for her doggy. By this time the train had arrived, and Jennifer and I boarded the train in the same rooms we were in the last time. After settling in and untangling the cords, I started to write the blog, and as it is coming to a close, I am going to upload it and go back to my book.
See you guys when we have the internet again.
