We are a group of 5 women travelling to Morocco to volunteer for 2 weeks. Here is a little bit about each one of us....

Cheryl Garin is an IT project manager whose love for travel has taken her to destinations as far-flung as Antarctica and Iceland. “My passion for travel was cultivated by my parents. A good deal of my childhood was spent in the back seat of a car on family road trips all over the United States. Back then international travel was not common unless it was business related. But through those experiences I developed an insatiable curiosity for other places and cultures.” Cheryl volunteers for Friends of Literacy in Knoxville, Tennessee tutoring English as a second language and reading skills. Her desire to help others and her appetite for roaming fit the Cross Cultural Solutions model well. Cheryl looks forward to sharing new memories with new friends in Morocco.

Amy works at Scripps Networks Interactive as an IT Relationship Manager. She has always enjoyed international travel with its
exposure to other cultures and new ideas. Of all her journeys, Amy’s favorites have been ones where she was able to interact with the local people and see a glimpse of the world through their eyes. When Sucheta approached about volunteering through Cross Cultural Solutions Alumni program, Amy knew immediately it was an life changing opportunity too good to let pass by. The chance to
participate in a cultural exchange while helping in the Rabat community will be just as invaluable to me as it will be to them.
